Changes to WOD page


We are trying to be better with the pictures! I will try to post at least one pic from each WOD on the WOD page.  Also, I will post pics from the week on the CFDA Facebook page.  




December 13th: YOGA


Our first class of Yoga went very well!  We have changed the class time to 5:30-6:30 pm.  $25 a month for CrossFit members. $10 a session for non-members.  Please pay Paige. Invite your family and friends to come sweat with you.  Please bring a towel, yoga mat and water.  




December 16th and 17th:


GYM CLOSED FOR TOURNAMENT!!!

Closed: FRIDAY, DEC. 16TH: 6 AND 7 PM - NO WOD, Fundamentals or open gym!!
Closed: SATURDAY, DEC. 17TH ALL DAY!!!

We are hosting a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu tournament at our gym Dec. 17th.  Every year, the Gracie Barra Augusta/Columbia team travels to Los Angeles to compete in the Pan American Games.  Every year we have hard working team members who wish to compete, but are not financially able.  This year, we are hosting a tournament on Dec. 17th in order to raise funds.  100% of the profit from this tournament will go to those team members who need financial assistance to make their dream of competing in California a reality.  If you would like to come and watch the fighting, or even volunteer, you are more than welcome.



December 17th: 

DecemberMerry Chicksmas Tacky Sweater Party

Stefunny is having a party for all of the CrossFit Chicks on Saturday, December 17th from 7:30pm -1!  This means only CHICKS! NO DUDES ALLOWED!  

       Eat, drink and be merry in your tackiest christmas get-up! I'm hosting a Crossfit LADIES Night In at my house.  There will be food and fun and a Chinese Gift Exchange! So get your tacky sweaters/vests together and come on over. Bring a gift to participate ($20 max value) in the exchange. I'll provide food and liquor (I have a stocked cabinet. So please drink!) If you'd like beer or wine, you'll need to bring that though.

DUMBBELLS IN DECEMBER:

The WOD and picnic at Savannah River Rapids Pavilion was great! We had 15 people and 3 fuzzy friends joined us!   The food was delicious!  The recipes will be posted on the CFDA Facebook page.  More pics are on Facebook and the Photo link! 

I think there would have been more people if Rachel's graduation party wasn't soooo much fun!  It was great meeting all of your family!  Now we can see where your sweet, hard working personality originated! Congrats again Rachel!!  




So one more week... keep eating well and wodding hard!  There will be a surprise waiting for those of you that finish the challenge!  And don't worry...it does not include burpees!

JANUARY 7th: BABY PARTY!

I don't know if you have noticed or not, but Christian and Jenna are expecting a new addition soon!  (Jenna's the one doing pull-ups with a basketball under her shirt! LOL!)  Amy, Phyllis and I are planning a party for the happy couple to celebrate!  THIS IS NOT A SHOWER, BOYS, IT'S A PARTY!  We are reserving the back room at Somewhere in Augusta on Saturday, January 7th, 2012 at 8pm.  Please see Julie about donating towards the gift!
