Thank you everyone for using those minds to brainstorm names for the new gym!  There are some really great ideas!  We will be sending in a list of names to HQ and see what we have to choose from.  I will post the list on Facebook ASAP!




CROSSFIT OPEN

U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Joshua Desforges, 23, of Ludlow, Massachusetts, assigned to 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, based in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, was killed on May 12, 2010, while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He is survived by his parents David and Arlene, and his loving sister Janelle.



WOD DEMO:


*23 years old, the same age as our daughter, Caitlin.  I don't know how all of the parents of our HEROS handle such loss.  I believe that only Jesus Christ can carry them through such tragedy.  Please pray for the safety of our troops and peace for their families.

Announcements for the week of 1-22! WODS posted below!

MOVING AGAIN!

So if you haven't heard yet, WE ARE MOVING!!!  We have been very blessed with our business and are outgrowing our building again!  We are very thankful for all of our clients and their positive attitude towards the move!:)  It will be a longer drive for some and shorter for most!  We apologize for any inconvenience that some of you might have with this move.  Everyone that came by on Saturday was really excited about the new building!

We are hoping to be in by March 1.  That being said, we are going to need a little help with the project.  We are planning our 1st work day for this weekend, January 28th.  Pizza and beer are on us!  If anyone wants to help out, let us know at the gym!  

NEW NAME CONTEST!

So once again, we have to change our name!  CrossFit North Augusta, CrossFit Downtown Augusta, now what?  We need help with this!!  We have been brainstorming for months and it is a tough thing because there can only be 1 CF with the name in the whole world.  So put on your thinking caps.  Think up a name, Google it and check the CF headquarters site for the name.  If you don't see it on either list let us know ASAP!  We will compose a list of 5-10 and send them into HQ for approval. Whoever comes up with the name we decide upon, will get their first t-shirt for free!  

NEW EQUIPMENT

If you weren't at the gym Friday or Saturday, you didn't get to see all of our new toys!  Lots of new clients = lots of new toys to play with!  Kettlebells, Olympic bars, medicine balls, ploy boxes, ladder, GHD machines, ropes, etc.

Jenna and Christian were finally blessed with Charlotte's arrival Saturday!  Momma and baby are doing well!  Christian said Jenna just had to do about 30 minutes of KNEES TO ELBOWS  and she was here! 9.5 lbs!

FOAM ROLLERS

A lot of people have been asking for the foam rollers.  So we will be placing another order this weekend.  If you want one, sign up at the gym.  You can get a black one, like we have at the gym for $20.  They have a new harder one for $24 which includes a cover.  I will have the info at the gym for you to compare!
