Announcements for the week of January 9-14


PALEO PUKIE CHALLENGE
  


Monday, January 9th we start our 3rd Holiday Challenge!  
(Jan. 9 - Feb. 7) of eating Paleo, sleeping well, and doing WODs. It will be the Paleo Pukie Challenge!  This will be a 30 day challenge 


A lot of people are not wanting to do the challenge because Paleo is soooo strict.  I totally understand!  I had to give up at least 2 points each day this week! :(:(  Just commit to the challenge and try changing some of your bad habits!  I will be very surprised if anyone goes complete Paleo!  Don't be afraid to surprise me!!





We have changed some of the details on the challenge as we received input from you this past week.  Everything that is a change from the original plan is highlighted in blue on the EVENTS page!  We added 2 ways you can get bonus points.  We changed the MOBILITY WOD point to bonus and are going to give you a point for consuming the amount of water you need each day.  There is a HYDRATION CALCULATOR  link that will help you with this.  

There will be a skills test at the beginning and end of the challenge.  We decided to divide the skills test over the week and still do an actual WOD.  If you aren't there some of the days, just make up the skills when you can!





OPEN GYM


Open Gym times are set aside for doing those WODs that you missed, WODs you want to tryout, or working your lifts and skills.  Open Gym time is your time to run your own workout.  We have a lot of times set aside for this: 6:30am, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm.   Please stick to these times if you want to do something other than the scheduled WOD.  Remember to check the schedule for the WOD to know what equipment will be available to use in Open Gym.  Example: If the WOD requires bars, don't count on bars to be available.  Thanks for your help with this! 




A LITTLE HELP...


I know after the WODs you are smoked and aren't thinking too well.  However, please be considerate and clean up after yourself.  Please wipe down any equipment you used and mats you pooled your sweat on.  Please throw away your water bottles and tape scraps.  If you used a marker board, please erase it.  We really appreciate the help!




CF BABY PARTY

We had a great time on Saturday night celebrating Christian, Jenna and Charlotte!  Thank you Amy and Phyllis for making the party a success!  Pictures will be posted soon!  It was great spending time with our long lost friend, Erika, who drove down from Maryland for the event!  Jenna's mom is in town until Charlotte blesses us with her arrival.  (She will be the one having the heart attack, as Jenna shows off her CF skills until she pops! LOL) 





1000m. row, 10 muscle-ups and 100 push-press = much pain in the arms!  We will be excluding that WOD from our books!
